Namaste. We invite you to our classes at the brand new community centre, located in the heart of Southport close to public transport. You’ll find it easy to relax and unwind in our tranquil and refreshing hatha yoga and meditation programs. Our community classes are an opportunity for everybody to experience the deeply rejuvenating and uplifting benefits of hatha yoga and meditation. Please bring a yoga mat or a large towel. Yoga mats are available to purchase.

To find us in Room F3 head up the stairs or lift to the first floor and down the corridor. We are the first room on the right with the dimmed lights and soothing music. The community centre has disability access including a lift between floors. Thursday morning Stretch & Relax is held in the main hall on the ground floor.

A designated community centre car park can be accessed from Garden St. There is also free 2hr parking at Australia Fair (Young St) and Southport Central (Lawson St). The community centre is a 1 minute walk from the bus stop

Deep Peace Meditation

Experience the deeply relaxing and restorative effect of Yoga Relaxation and Mantra Meditation. These ancient yoga practices can help you overcome stress and anxiety, and help to relieve tension and calm the mind. This class is bliss. It feels wonderful and is the perfect way to experience rest and recuperation. This class will transport you to a place of pure relaxation of mind, body and heart.

FREE – donations are welcome. No need to book. Please bring a yoga mat or large towel.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga classes increase flexibility, strengthen and tone muscles, balance hormones, cleanse and flush all the internal systems of the body, calm the mind and reduce stress. Classes include meditation, relaxation and kirtan.

Class fees:

  • Casual: $12
  • 5 Class pass valid 2 months: $50
  • SPECIAL – 10 Class pass valid 3 months: $85
  • Unlimited classes valid 1 month: $80
  • Pensioners and students: $5 per class

No Bookings Required. Please bring a yoga mat or large towel.

Stretch and Relax

This class features half an hour of gentle stretching and half an hour of relaxation, meditation and kirtan, helping to relieve tension in the body and the mind. You will leave feeling alive and with a sense of peace and inner calm.
Thursdays 9.15am – 10.15am. This class is held in the main hall on the ground floor.

Free Community Class. Please bring a yoga mat or large towel.

Kirtan

Beautiful, heartfelt singing of sacred mantras accompanied by musical instruments like harmonium, guitar and drums. Kirtan is usually practiced as a call and response with one person leading the singing and everyone else joining in afterwards. Participation in Kirtan focuses the mind very easily and naturally on the beautiful spiritual sound vibrations, which have the effect reawakening one’s spiritual consciousness. Kirtan lifts the spirit and brings joy to the heart.

Sunday Spiritual Gathering

Meditation for self-realisation. Beautiful kirtan (chanting of sacred mantras), guided meditation, a fantastic vegetarian dinner and an inspiring talk that explores the spiritual essence of yoga.
Venue: Fradgley Hall (above Burleigh Heads Library) Cnr Gold Coast Hwy & Park Ave, Burleigh Heads.

Join us for our uniquely designed escape experience; offering loads of exciting things to do, featuring yoga, meditation, live kirtan, adventure activities, workshops, jam sessions and more!
